The Ultimate Chocolate Nut Brownies
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter - at room temperature
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of chopped nuts of choice - I used a mix of pecans and walnuts.
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a medium bowl whisk together your flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
  3. With your stand mixer on medium speed mix the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add your eggs and vanilla and beat until well combined.
  5. Slowly add your cocoa mixture to your wet ingredients on low speed.
  6. Once thoroughly mixed fold in the chopped nuts.
  7. Grease your 8 x 8 pan and pour in the batter.
  8. Make sure the batter is smooth on top.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
